Asbestos Lung Disease

Asbestos lung cancer is a rare type of cancers that also called Mesothelioma. This cancer can develop in some parts in the human body like Pleura, Peritoneum and Pericardium. The Pleura is the outer line surrounds the lungs and has some vital functions like protection and the movement during the breathing process.

The peritoneum is the outer line surrounds the internal organs in the abdominal cavity and has also some vital functions like protection and movement. The malignant tumors in Pleura called pleural mesothelioma and the malignant tumors in the peritoneum is called peritoneal mesothelioma.

The last type of this Asbestos lung disease is called pericardial mesothelioma and the malignant tumors in this case will develop in the pericardium that surrounds the heart and its arteries. This cancer is called Asbestos lung cancer because Asbestos materials are the main cause of it.

In the past, Asbestos was used widely in the construction field especially in manufacturing companies that produce the constructions tools like cement. They were used Asbestos in their products although they knew the dangerous side effects of them on the their workers.

For that reason, worker can make a litigation to get a suitable compensation from those manufacturers if he/she was diagnosed as a mesothelioma victim.
